In the 21st century, Lovran has a rich historical heritage, a century-old tourism tradition, preserved nature, and developed infrastructure, which enables a renewed rise in tourism with sustainable development and respect for all environmental standards.

Lovran is known for events such as Marunada, the carnival, summer fishing festivals, Cherry Days, and the wind orchestra.
