Roč is a settlement in Istria County and administratively belongs to the town of Buzet.

It is located in the center of northern Istria, at an altitude of 348 m above sea level, at the junction of the limestone from which Ćićarija and Učka are built and the marl that forms the valleys and ridges below those two mountains.

It is first mentioned in 1064.

After the fall of Venice, Roč became part of the Illyrian Provinces, and then Austria. In the first half of the twentieth century, the influence of fascism was also felt in Roč until Italy's capitulation in 1943. After the anti-fascist resistance and liberation, Roč became part of Yugoslavia, and since 1991 of the Republic of Croatia.
