Kukljica is a small tourist and fishing village located at the far southeastern tip of the island of Ugljan, which adjoins the neighbouring island of Pašman. The two islands are connected at the Ždrelac strait by the bridge of the same name.

In addition to the settlement itself, the municipality of Kukljica also includes four islets: Bisage, Golac, Mišnjak and Karantunić. The settlement of Kukljica is located at 44° north latitude and 15°15' east longitude.

To the north, the municipality of Kukljica is bordered by the waters of Zadarski kanal, which separate it from Sukošan, 5 km away as the crow flies (9.5 km from Zadar), and to the south by the waters of Srednji kanal, which separate it from the southeastern shores of the island of Iž, 5 km away.
