A castle in Samobor is for sale, set on an estate dating from the 15th century. Price on request.

The castle is located in the immediate vicinity of the town center, on elevated but mostly flat land.

  • Plot area: 10,617 m²
  • Gross floor area of the castle: 262 m²
  • Area of auxiliary buildings: 432 m²

The origins of the castle are linked to the Podolje tower, built in the 15th century, which was later integrated into the body of the castle. After the defense of Samobor against the Turks, in which the tower was of strategic importance, it was converted to residential use and expanded by the Szaich de Pernicza family, ancestors of the current owners, the Bošnjak-Praunsperger family.

Next to the castle there are three utility buildings that are still in use today, and they were built by Phileus, the son of Viktorija.

The castle houses a substantial art collection - portraits, weapons, furniture and early glass. The castle also comes with the entire associated collection.
